College of Education for Pure Sciences – University of Kerbala hosted a scientific forum on urticaria, its causes and treatment methods, with participation of a number of employees and professors.
The forum aims at explaining classification of “urticaria,” first type of allergy caused by several factors, including seafood, grains, peanuts, cranberry fruits, and others.
The forum included learning about the “urticaria” allergy in terms of its symptoms, represented by redness and swelling of the skin, in addition to severe itching.
Participants call for attention to these issues in order to treat urticaria allergy with antihistamines, as it is a chronic condition for which medications are ineffective.
