University of Kerbala launches its Entrepreneurship and Innovation Week 2025

To promote entrepreneurship within academic community, University of Kerbala launches its entrepreneurship and innovation week 2025 with participation of a large number of entrepreneurs, professors, heads and representatives of various governmental and private departments and institutions, a delegation from Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, and a large number of students.

President of University of Kerbala Prof. Dr. Sabah Wajid states that this event keeps pace with the university’s vision of fostering an environment conducive to creativity, nurturing innovative ideas, and supporting entrepreneurial initiatives. He explains such contributes aim at preparing a generation capable of transforming knowledge into productive projects.

Wajid emphasizes that the university believes entrepreneurship is a fundamental pillar of sustainable development and a vital avenue for empowering youth, harnessing intellectual potential, and aligning higher education outcomes with labour market needs and requirements of comprehensive development.

For her part, Dr. Ayser Ashour, Director of Science and Technology Parks Department, explains that the week highlights emerging entrepreneurial projects by students, alumni, professors, and researchers, which can be incubated and developed through partnerships with relevant companies and organizations to become exemplary entrepreneurial ventures.
These events include a range of scientific activities, exhibitions, workshops, and seminars that focus on innovation, entrepreneurial projects, and modern technological applications, with broad participation of academics, students, and relevant stakeholders.
