University of Kerbala
College of Veterinary Medicine / University of Kerbala has organized a seminar on Koi herpesvirus disease and reducing its danger. It is presented by Asst. Lect. Ameer Hadawi Zaghiron.
The seminar aim at identifying Koi herpesvirus disease, as it is a common disease that affects carp fish weighing 500 grams – 2 kilograms, which causes a high economic loss.
The seminar recommends the need to focus on prevention methods, and follows methods to ensure against infection, including drying the mud ponds and placing sterile materials before rearing, as well as reducing density of fish in the pond.
