University of Kerbala Organizes a Training Course on Embezzlement Crimes and their Impact on Iraqi Economy

College of Veterinary Medicine / University of Kerbala organizes a training course on embezzlement of public funds and their impact on Iraqi economy, with participation of a number of employees and specialists in this field.
The training course aims at identifying the major challenges facing the Iraqi economy.
The phenomenon of embezzlement and financial corruption is one of the most important reasons that lead to undermine confidence in public institutions and weakening economic growth.
The economic axis of the course aims at identifying the impact of embezzlement operations in short and long term, which leads to weakening confidence in financial system and a decline in foreign investments.
The legal axis highlights a number of reforms and strict measures that must be taken to enhance transparency and accountability and ensure strengthening of the role of oversight bodies and activating of laws related to combat corruption.
