College of Science, University of Kerbala holds a workshop on occupational safety management systems in accordance with international standards (ISO).
Focusing on the importance of implementing safety standards in work environments to reduce occupational accidents and injuries, the workshop reviews basic principles of safety management system, mechanisms of identifying and assessing risks, and developing response and emergency plans.
It also addresses requirements of documentation, internal auditing, and continuous improvement, as well as effectiveness of training and awareness in establishing a safety culture among employees. The workshop sheds much light on the necessity of adhering to international standards (ISO) to ensure a safe working environment, enhance institutional performance, and minimize human and material losses.
