Student Activities Division – Faculty of Administration and Economics – University of Kerbala, in cooperation with Voluntary Hand of Goodness Team of the university students, has organized an awareness festival for children with Down syndrome, in presence of vice President of University of Kerbala for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Akram Al-Yasiri, and vice President for Scientific Affairs, Prof. Dr. Najm Abdul-Hussein Najm, and participation of a number of professors and students..
The festival aims at educating the community about how to deal with patients with Down syndrome and urge the community to take care of them and help them develop their communicative and creative abilities.
The participants stress the need to provide rehabilitation programmes and all services required for treatment of young age groups, in addition to providing the best educational services for children with the syndrome and confirming medical advice, social care to families.
Vice President of University of Kerbala for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr. Akram Al-Yasiri says that University of Kerbala is working on studying and discussing various problems of society through holding seminars, studies and research on various fields to keep pace with the instruction of Ministry of High Education..
