Faculty of Agriculture / University of Kerbala has organized Green Day Festival in its fifth edition, in presence of President, of University of Kerbala Prof. Dr. Basim K. Nile and participation of governorate departments, institutions and unions specialized in agricultural affairs.
The president says in his speech that the university will not stop supporting Faculty of Agriculture and its aspirations aims at raising scientific level of its students and meeting the country’s need for agricultural expertise, indicating that this festival is an outlet through which the university looks at the surrounding community, revealing, allocating 1,600 dunums for projects of Faculty of Agriculture and the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine.
The festival includes opening of a computer lab and a number of smart classrooms equipped with modern educational tools, in addition to opening of the headquarters of scientific journal, and a number of exhibitions organized by the Faculty departments, which are gardening, field crops, animal production, and food industry, and honoring a number of distinguished participants in the festival and guests of honor.
It also includes exhibitions of Karbala Agriculture directorate, Engineers Syndicate, and a number of companies specialized in trade of agricultural materials.
The festival inmplies a ceremony in honor of a number of orphans, as an expression of university’s keenness to support this segment and continuous interest in its financial and moral condition.
