Being announced by Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, College of Veterinary Medicine, University of Kerbala has fulfiled a high academic achievement by being classified the first rank among veterinary medicine colleges and departments in Iraqi universities, according to results of 2024 Iraqi Ranking of Scientific Departments.
Dr. Muhammad Asaad Saleh Al-Kaabi, Dean of the College, has received a Certificate of Excellence from Ministry’s Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Bureau, for its role in developing education and scientific research in field of veterinary medicine.
This achievement is the result of continuous efforts of the College , faculty members, researchers, and students. The evaluation has been conducted within a comprehensive framework by Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Bureau, which includes (2,072) scientific departments in more than (100) public and private universities and colleges and basing on precise criteria.
The Ministry notes that Iraqi classification represents an effective method for stimulating scientific competition among academic institutions and enhancing quality of higher education, achieving excellence and leadership locally and globally.

For his part, Dr. Mohammed Asaad Al-Kaabi expressed his pride in this award, emphasizing that it is evidence of the correct academic path pursued by the college and a strong incentive to continue the journey toward further achievements that serve the veterinary education sector in Iraq.
