psychological barriers and its relationship to Suggestibility For postgraduate students

Abstract:

The following research aims to:
1. Identifying to psychological barrier at students of higher education.
2. Identifying to suggestibility at students of higher education.
3. Identifying to psychological barrier according to (male, female), the specialization (scientific, humanitarian), and the stage (preparatory, search).
4. Identifying to suggestibility according to (male, female), the specialization (scientific, humanitarian), and the stage (preparatory, search).
5. Identifying to the connection between psychological barriers and suggestibility at students of higher education.
6. The differences in connections between psychological barriers and suggestibility.
7. Contribution degree
The following search is determined to (students of higher education), (male, female), (scientific, humanitarian) to education year (2020 – 2021), in the university of Karbala. The sampled search has been formed from (500) random selected male and female students.

Search Tools:
1. The researcher has built a psychological barriers scale according to a theory (levin,1947). It has been extracted psychometric properties according to the scale. The stability coefficient has reached the Cronbach’s alpha way (0.92), and the retest way (0.82).
2. The researcher has built a suggestibility scale according to a theory (fastinger,1962). Also has been extracted psychometric properties according to the scale. The stability coefficient has reached the Cronbach’s alpha way (0.92), and the retest way (0.82).

• The Results:
The current search reached the following conclusions, that the search sample:
1. Don’t have any psychological barriers to achieve their goals and ambitions.
2. Don’t have any suggestibility.
3. Weak relationship between psychological barriers and suggestibility.

• The recommendations:
The current search reached the following recommendations:
1. Attention the high education students to promote a normal behavior. To be more acceptable to the society they belong to.
2. Increase the role of suggestibility through the establishment of seminars and educational programs to enhance the role of awareness of these processes.
3. Increase the mutual collaboration between the student and the teachers, to configure a discussion circle to build up awareness in the students.

• The suggestions
The current search reached the following suggestions:
1. Conducting studies about the psychological barrier’s relationship to other samples (university students – teenagers – employees).
2. Conducting studies about the psychological barriers in other variables (mental flexibility – job burnout – self retribution).
3. Conducting studies about the suggestibility to other samples (university students – teenagers – employees).
4. Conducting studies about the suggestibility in other variables (proactive personality – moral anxiety – cognitive burden).
