Abstract:
The current study based on investigating the study of the Quranic vocabulary and how explicators dealt with it on the lexical axis without context and how they employ it in the semantic meaning direction in the Quranic context.
The study significance is implied in its revelation for researchers about influence of holy Quran a language and its revelation of secrets of using the expression in the suitable position when Arabs were surprised within prosperity of their language. Therefore, holy Quran is itself a miracle for the absence of human ability to create a similar book where its language granted it the biggest part of incapacitation
The researcher chose the title” The Lexical Semantics in ” Mejma Al- Beyan”by Al Tebrisi (died 548 H.)” to be the sample of the study for it is considered a priority among explicators in arranging and caring with the language and its expressions; this is by the witness of those who studied and tackled it.
Imam Tebrisi ( may Allah rest his soul) was distinguished in his interpretation when he tackled interpretation for various aspects, starting with language, parsing, arguments, reading, and finally the meaning, and what was restricted on a particular doctrine opinions rather than another; indeed it mentioned opinions of all Islamic doctrines and their scholars. Thus, this interpretation came to be a remarkable than other interpretations as well, it is admitted by the Islamic nation.
The study contained a preface and three chapters. The researcher studied the lexical meaning linguistically and terminologically, and the lexical meaning and its routs to Imam Tebrisi.
The first chapter included types of vocabulary meanings: central, marginal, verbal, cognitive, and natural. Then, the various semantics of vocabulary were discussed such as verbal counterpart, synonyms, and opposite in the second chapter.
Later, the semantic development of vocabulary was studies including the semantic generalization, the semantic restriction, then, the semantic transference. Then, there was
the conclusion which included results and recommendations of the research such as the author’s skill in dealing with the Arabic expression and stating its influence on the Quranic context and ways of multiplicity and changes in accord with rules intended to be directed to the addressees.
