Social Theory and Its Impact on the Interpretation of the Qur'anic Text Interpretation of al-Mizan as a Model - Presentation and Analysis

Abstract
This research focuses on examining the role of social theory and its impact on understanding the Quranic text, choosing Allamah Tabataba’i’s Tafsir al-Mizan as a model for analyzing the concept. The research relies on examining verses with social dimensions, along with reviewing Tabataba’i’s approach to highlighting social norms and laws within the context of the Holy Quran.
The research concludes that applying social theory to interpreting the Quranic text contributes to providing the reader with a deeper understanding of the values and principles that govern the lives of individuals and societies. Tafsir al-Mizan is considered a pioneering model for modern interpretation’s use of rational, philosophical, and social approaches, enabling it to achieve a close connection between religious text and social reality.
The research recommended the importance of updating approaches to social interpretation and expanding the scope of cooperation between Quranic studies and the social sciences. It also emphasized the importance of conducting comparative studies to broaden the horizons of understanding and enhance the practical application of the contents of the Quranic text within the contemporary societal context.
