Abstract:
The current study aims at analysis of content of primary stage social books in accord with tolerance values. In order to achieve the research aim, it is required to build a list of toleration values that should be available in primary stage social books. The researcher had a look on previous studies related to the current study variable (toleration values) that helped the researcher in preparing a list of toleration values ( religious, political, social, economic, and scientific).
The primary form of the list composed of 60 items distributed on five fields. To ensure the truth of analyst list, the researcher displayed it on a group of experts specialized jury in the educational and psychological sciences, and methodology in order to show their opinions and suggestions. Then, the researcher made some linguistic modifications and deleted and modified some items. The experts specialized jury all agreed on the items’ validity. The final form of the device items number reached 58 items. The research community is limited to primary stage social books for the academic year 2021- 2022 represented by three books: fourth, fifth, and sixth years, through 218 pages that will be analyzed out of 248 pages. The introduction, questions, contents, activities, images, and drawings which form 66 pages were excluded. To ensure the analysis stability, the researcher relied by himself and through time and with analysts who were specialized by using Holist formula. So, analysis stability by the researcher and himself through time reached ( 0,94%), the researcher and the first analyst reached( 0,94%), the researcher and the second analyst reached( 0,93%), while between the first analyst and the second analyst reached( 0,99%).
The researcher used the idea as a unit for analysis, repetitions, and percentages in order to carry out the results and to account the extent of the content availability to toleration values.
The researcher reached to the most important results:
1. The fifth primary stage social book got the great interest by inclusion a number of toleration values when it ranked the first order preceding the fourth and sixth primary stage social.
2.There are weakness and absence of inclusion the economic values from the curriculum designers in the contents of the social books concerning many issues relating the economic side.
The researcher suggests the following recommendations:
1.There should be interest in including subjects and concepts that reflect the economic toleration values in the primary social books.
2.All directorates of education should make educational workshops and symposiums for males and females teachers of the social subjects in order to show them the significance of toleration values.
