Sibawayh continued to be a center for linguistic studies. He occupied the ancients and enriched the hadith scholars. So Sibawayh listened to the eloquent Arabs, who were satisfied with their Arabic, and he transmitted, and to the scholars of his time, who mixed with the Arabs, and he narrated. Thus, his book is full of many places to listen to, and Sibawayh was not satisfied with mentioning them; Rather, most of them are accompanied by a trial of hearing and an explanation of their acceptance and permissibility.
The places of hearing reached (4204 places) in the book, the majority of which are in structures and what occurs with them (3768 places), and (436 places) in other chapters of grammar. The researcher cannot be sure of the certainty of these numbers, as human effort is subject to stagnation, weakness, and oversight. They may be more than what was mentioned or slightly less, but they are certainly an amount that does not spoil the results with which the research was concluded, nor does it refute the scientificity of the research.
