Discussions of semantics in (The Proof in the Interpretation of the Qur’an by Al-Bahrani) in the light of Roman Jacobson’s theory of communication

abstract

Praise be to God, Lord of the Worlds, and may God’s prayers and peace be upon Muhammad and his good, pure, honorable family. Now then….
The Holy Qur’an, which God Almighty revealed to His Messenger to read to people over a period of time, is one of the links of connection and communication between the servant and his Lord. It was and still is a lamp of guidance that enlightens minds when they realize its essence.
It is one of the two weights recommended by the most honorable Prophet; Muhammad (may God’s prayers and peace be upon him and his family) (the Book of God and my family, my family), and he called on people to adhere to them; So that they will not go astray after him in this world and the hereafter. He also called on them to declare affection for the People of the House (peace be upon them) and spread it among the people.
From this standpoint, the researcher set out to attempt to study Roman Jacobson’s theory of communication in Al-Burhan fi Interpretation of the Qur’an by Hashim Al-Bahrani, through the study entitled (Subjects of Semantics in (Al-Burhan fi Interpretation of the Qur’an by Al-Bahrani) in light of Roman Jacobs’ theory of communication And, the researcher limited his study to jobs in Jacobson’s calligraphy (expressive, intelligible, attentional, referential, metalinguistic, and poetic); Because communication theory deals with the language of the literary text, As for the functions, they deal with the literary texts and the literary texts themselves. We do not say that the Holy Qur’an is a literary text like other texts, but rather it is a divine text in which there is no doubt, a guidance and mercy for the righteous.
The title of the study was chosen by the supervisor, Professor Dr. Amjad Hamid Al-Fadil, and there are a number of reasons that prompted the researcher to write this thesis, including:
– The researcher’s desire to study a field of knowledge to uncover some of the secrets of the Holy Qur’an.
– Studying the Qur’anic verses interpreted by Ahl al-Bayt (peace be upon them), and combining two sciences in this study. Studies in semantics and communication theory.
– The proof in the interpretation of the Qur’an includes the Qur’anic verses that were interpreted by the People of the House (peace be upon them) and contains the opinion of Hashim Al-Bahrani, and this is what
gives the researcher the scope to study the words of God and his family only.
In writing his dissertation, the researcher relied on the book Al-Burhan fi Interpretation of the Qur’an by Hashim Al-Bahrani, the book Issues of Poetry by Roman Jakobson, and linguistic, literary, critical, and interpretation books, as well as some letters and dissertations.
The researcher’s thesis consisted of an introduction and three chapters. The introduction includes a definition of the main elements of the research and includes three demands:
The first requirement: the science of meanings and its topics. The second requirement: proof in the interpretation of the Qur’an and its author. The third requirement: Roman Jakobson’s communication theory.
There are three chapters, which are as follows:
Chapter One: (The expressive function and the conceptual function). The researcher divided it into two sections. The first section: the expressive function in the prohibitive and interrogative styles. As for the second section only, it was entitled: The conceptual function in the styles of appeal, wish, and command.
Chapter Two (Referential Function and Attentional Function). It also has two sections: The first topic: The referential function in (presentation and delay, definition, indefiniteness, and brevity), and the second topic: The attentional function in (attention and redundancy).
The third chapter (the function of metalanguage and the poetic function) includes two sections: The first topic: The function of beyond language in (remembrance, deletion, construction, and predicate). The second topic: The poetic function in (shortness, separation, and connection).
Then a conclusion containing the most important results reached by the researcher, and a list of sources and references.
In conclusion, I extend my sincere thanks to my professor, Professor Dr. Amjad Hamid Al-Fadil, for what he provided for me. He was my guide and advisor during the days of writing the thesis, and for his great effort in correcting and correcting my mistakes, especially on the days when I was suffering from being busy for a long time and accompanying a sick member of my family. So I ask God Almighty to increase his knowledge and elevation, so that he may be a shining beacon for seekers of knowledge.
