It is undoubtedly that human language is the base that life of human societies stands on since it is a means of understanding and communication among societies, a device for discourse, and a channel to transfer knowledge among individuals and nations.
Allah Almighty dignified Arabic language by holy Quran from other language. He promised to protect it until the doom day, where protecting Quran means protecting its language. It is the duty of language speakers to protect it, study its rules, and to know its judgements and reasons. Arabs were talking their language fluently and naturally and helping their speech positions. Its reasoning is established in their minds without limited rules and origins. Someone appeared among them that speaks Arabic who was not from its speakers due to the Islamic conquers and converting many people to Islam. Thus, deviation spread in their speech until its danger was about to reach Quran. Therefore, they need inducting and simplifying this language, Arabic scholars initiated putting the grammatical rules. So, they formulated the rules and differentiated the constructed from the nominative from accusative Then, inquiries about it were created in themselves: why was the ruling of this construction, and ruling of that inflected? Why that was nominate And that was accusative? They started looking for answer until they found some of its secrets and reasons; hence, reasoning was established going in parallel to first grammar establishment.
Grammarians were competing for reasoning until it became a type of cognitive sport ( personality). Dr. Ahmed Mukhtar Omer was the most prominent figure who was interested in that. He was fond of and interested in the grammatical reasoning who was supported by his open minded. Thus, he has knowledge in speech science and logic knowing about grammar.
The topic significance is implied in the reasoning significance in clarifying rules and measurements that Dr. Ahmed Mukhtar Omer followed and uncovering a part of our Arabic language secrets in his dictionary ” the linguistic correction”. The aim of the current dissertation was to reveal his effort in the linguistic reasoning in three chapters. I adopted an analytical approach that may tend to description sometimes. This is limited to displaying the linguistic use then stating reasons of use correction by the deductive evidences from Arab speech. So, Dr. Ahmed Mukhtar Omer and his work team did not follow in his morphological and syntactic reasons a particular school or a scholar rather than another, instead he was, in his agreements and disagreements following grammarians who was closer to correctness and what accords to his collected proofs about his expression or that even if he did not mention new evidence about the old.
Thus, we could not find his tendency to a particular scholar or a particular grammarian where he agreed with Basri in some issues and disagreed them in others. He also agreed Kufi in some issues and disagreed them in others. In most of his agreements and disagreements, he was following opinions of grammarians’ followers. He agreed a scholar and disagreed another in some situations, though they were from the same school, followed and cited what linguistic academies admit. Therefore, we urge studies that are interested in the linguistic correction to deal with contrastive studies to reveal the linguistic phenomena due to their importance that is implied directing studies towards a clear and limited judgement without hesitation in their use.
