University of Kerbala
Under auspices of Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, and headed by President of University of Kerbala, Prof. Dr. Basim K.Nile, faculty of Engineering has held the 6th International Conference on Engineering Sciences ICES2022, in cooperation with faculty of Engineering, University of Sulaymaniyah, Australian Swinburne University, and Al-Hussein University College, with participation of professors and researchers from inside and outside Iraq, and in presence of academics and parliamentarians .
The representative of minister at the conference, president of the university, Prof. Dr. Basim K. Nile, says that University of Kerbala seeks, through the establishment of international scientific conferences, to present research and studies and convert them from theoretical projects to applied projects that work to develop solutions and treatments for various problems of society and in coordination and cooperation with government agencies and their application within the government programme.
Nile adds that number of participating and accepted papers is about 101, which are varied in various engineering sciences, including petroleum engineering, limb and support engineering, architecture, civil engineering, electrical and electronic engineering, medical engineering, as well as mechanical engineering.
On the other hand, Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Laith Al-Qarawi, explains that the conference aims at strengthening the ties between international and Iraqi universities on one hand, and Iraqi Universities on the other hand, and gather researchers under one umbrella and highlight what is new in engineering sciences to keep up with the latest technologies and increase their scientific knowledge.
