Being presented by Lect. Marwa Ali, College of Pharmacy, University of Kerbala organizes a scientific course on green pharmacy and its role as threshold to sustainable pharmacy.
The course aims at solidifying concepts of sustainability and enhancing environmental and health awareness. It also addresses the concept of sustainable development and its health and environmental dimensions, highlighting pivotal role of modern pharmacy in reducing environmental impact of pharmaceutical practices, as well as promoting rational use of resources.
The course also discusses responsibility of pharmacy students and pharmacists in adopting sustainable practices in pharmaceutical industry, pharmacies, and healthcare institutions. This contributes to protect public health and preserving the environment, and supports achievement of Sustainable Development Goals. This course is part of a series of scientific activities implemented by the college to prepare a conscious and qualified pharmaceutical workforce.
