College of Education for Humanities, University of Kerbala organizes a scientific workshop on “The Concepts of Justice and Human Rights (Literary, Linguistic, and Islamic Approaches).”
The workshop, which has been presented by Dr. Wafaa Abbas Sahin, Dr. Muslim Sadiq, and Asst. Lect. Nibras Hamid, addresses Islamic perspective, reviewing foundations and overarching objectives of justice and human rights from an Islamic perspective. It explores linguistic aspect, analyzing discourse on justice and human rights from a linguistic perspective. It also focuses on literary aspect, examining manifestations of values of justice and human rights in international and local literary texts.
The workshop aims at presenting a comprehensive and multidimensional view of the concepts of justice and human rights, moving beyond a singular approach, and to foster interdisciplinary dialogue (Islamic law, linguistics, and literature) to enrich theoretical and practical understanding of such notions.
