Mr. Mustafa Abdul Karim, a lecturer at Faculty of Veterinary Medicine / University of Kerbala, has participated in the training course held by the Higher Ministerial Committee supervising the development of SMC safety and biological, radiological and nuclear security programs and projects, in cooperation with the Office of Cooperative Threat Reduction CTR at Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The course is entitled (Responding to Biological Threats and Leaders’ Communication). It aims to provide participants with a variety of skills in inter-agency communication and coordination in times of crisis, developing standard operating procedures, the use of personal safety equipment, and decontamination strategies, as well as focusing on Iraq’s ability to respond to epidemics, biological attacks, and other events that disrupt biosafety and biosecurity systems.
