A Lecturer from University of Kerbala participates in preparing National Human Development Report on Citizenship and Social Contract

Dr. Sultan Jassim Sultan, College of Administration and Economics _University of Kerbala, has been chosen as a member of Iraqi Ministry of Planning statistical team, whom task is technical following-up by United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) and International Human Development Team.

Along with researchers and experts from various Iraqi universities, Dr. Sultan Jassim Sultan participates in preparation of National Human Development Report, which is entitled “Citizenship and Formation of a New Social Contract”.
This report is considered one of the most prominent national ones that aims at supporting development in Iraq.
The report provides up-to-date and accurate statistical evidence on indicators and manifestations of human development. It will help to understand development reality, identify strengths and weaknesses, and scientifically determine areas of progress or regression. It also highlights the importance of new social contract in developing human capabilities, expanding civic space, and achieving a balance between the roles of the state, market, and society, so as to build a cohesive society and sustainable development.
