A Research Team from University of Kerbala Publishes Research paper in a International Journal on Electronic Payments and Financial Inclusion

Being prepared by Dr. Maysaa Saad Jawad Habibi, Dr. Lamia Ali Ibrahim, and Prof. Dr. Ali Abdul Hassan Abbas, a research team from College of Administration and Economics_ University of Kerbala publishes a scientific study in Central European Economic Journal, indexed in Scopus (Q3) with an impact factor 1.
The study, which is entitled ” the role of electronic payment methods in enhancing finical inclusion, addresses the role of electronic payment methods in promoting financial inclusion. It reviews the most prominent challenges facing implementation of electronic payments in Iraq, such as weak banking awareness, poverty, inadequate technological infrastructure, and economic instability.
The study includes an analysis of 958 questionnaires using PLS-SEM model, revealing results indicating a positive relationship between electronic payment methods and financial inclusion, and confirming their role in integrating individuals into formal banking system.
The study recommends necessity of strengthening trust in banking system and ongoing need to develop digital infrastructure to achieve sustainable economic growth.
