University of Kerbala
Prosthetic and Orthotics Department / Faculty of Engineering / University of Kerbala has received a patient who has a leg amputation following an accident and suffering from pain and leg problems as a result of using an inappropriate prosthetic limb.
The laboratory team is able to make a limb for the patient with students’ participation, after taking measurements of the patient’s leg, casting the mold, sculpting it using gypsum, then pouring plastic and assembling entire limb.
This initiative comes within activities of Prosthetic and Orthotics Department/ faculty of Engineering / University of Kerbala to contribute in providing services to community with participation of students.
