Faculty of Veterinary Medicine /University of Kerbala has organized an awareness campaigns through visiting a number of families in Freiha area in Holy city of Karbala. It is done by Mr. Falah Hassan Shaalan and a number of third-stage students of the faculty, under the direct supervision of women’s empowerment unit in the faculty.
Dean of the Faculty, Dr. Wefaq Jubouri Al-Bazi, says that within framework of scientific activities and in continuation of her approach and continuous work to contribute to provide3 the best community services to spread awareness among members of society, Women Empowerment Unit has this activity.
She adds that the campaign includes a field tour, giving a scientific lecture, distributing awareness-raising brochures about foot-and-mouth disease, examining animals in the area, and the need to adhere to preventive instructions by informing competent veterinary authorities in the governorate in event of clinical symptoms appearing on the animal, as well as the possibility of examining animals and providing veterinary medical advice, with provision of free treatment.
