University of Kerbala Holds a Scientific Symposium on Literary Movement in Karbala

College of Education for Humanities, University of Kerbala, in cooperation with Karbala Centre for Studies and Research, Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, organizes a scientific symposium which is entitled “Literary Movement in Karbala.”
being presented by Dr. Rafal Hassan Taha, writer and short-story author Abbas Khalaf, and writer and poet Ali Hamid Al-Hamdani, whom discuss features of literary movement in Karbala, its most prominent historical milestones, and its role to enrich Iraqi cultural and literary scene.
The session has been chaired by Dr. Abboud Joud Al-Hali, who stresses in his remarks the importance of such seminars in highlighting local literary output and enhancing communication between academics and creative people.
This symposium is part of a series of scientific and cultural activities that the College is keen to hold, so as to support research and literary movements, and as a contribution to shed light on cultural status of Karbala throughout different ages.
