College of Education for Pure Sciences, University of Kerbala organizes a workshop which is entitled “Radiation Energy: Uses and Risks”.
Being presented by Dr. Adel Abbas Kareem, the workshop aims at explaining the concept of radiation energy as a form of energy transmitted through waves or particles and emitted from natural or artificial sources.
The workshop includes several topics including uses of radiation energy in diagnosis, treatment, and industry. It recommends the need to pay attention to these topics in order to monitor radiation levels in practical and natural environments, through the use of radiation detection devices, and train workers in radiation safety procedures.
