University of Kerbala
Faculty of Science – University of Kerbala has organized a training course on radon gas. It has been organized by a group of profesoors – Physics Department. The course has been attended by Dean of the Faculty, vive dean for scientific and administrative affairs and the students.
The course aims at clarifying radon gas, which is one of the largest natural sources of radiation and contributes more than 50% of the total radiation. The course also attempts to explain the characteristics of this gas, most notably that it is colorless, tasteless and odorless.
The lecturers recommend the necessity of training students on types of toxic gases and clarifying all their aspects and how to prevent them and their effects to prevent many diseases and health disasters.
