The period between 1945 and 1952 was characterized by a series of important political developments in Iraq and the Arab countries, and the developments that accompanied them at the level of the Arab conflict with the occupying Zionist entity. This period received the attention of the Arab press in general and the Iraqi press in particular, which made it a fertile field for historical studies, because it is an authentic, important and indispensable source for any researcher specializing in history, as the press accompanies events on a daily basis. On this basis, our study entitled: Al-Alam Al-Arabi Journal a study of its attitudes towards Iraqi and Arab political developments (1945-1952) comes to shed light on the most important political developments that Iraq and some Arab countries went through to the extent that the journal covered .
The subject becomes more important when we know that Al-Alam Al-Arabi Journal did not represent a specific party or political trend, and was not one of the journal of the authority, and was not one of those journal that supported British policy in Iraq. The journalistic experience in Iraq is a pioneering experience, despite all the problems that surrounded it. If it had been able to get rid of external and internal interference, it would have been an example to be emulated, because it is the first experiment in the region, and with the blatant government interference in the affairs of the press, and the attempt to get loyal elements to its pens, we found that there are newspapers that oppose the government’s policies, despite their inability to change decisions, but they were able to alert the government to the flaws in its internal and external policy .
The historical period in which the attitude of the Al-Alam Al-Araba journal was studied was a very critical period, extending from 1945 to 1952, during which many political developments took place in Iraq and the Arab world. It became clear that the newspaper’s criterion regarding the political developments witnessed by Iraq during the period under study was to preserve the unity of Iraq and the Arab countries against foreign powers and their blatant interventions, especially the Zionist occupation of Palestine and its declaration of the establishment of its alleged entity on its land .
The Al-Alam Al-Araba journal bravely engaged to clarify its attitude on these events in terms of the articles was referring to the strengths and weak nesses in how to take the appropriate decision ,which inflames the ears of the people and urging them to claim rights as the country was in need of calm and stability it can be said that this journal role the largest in the show and the announce me of defects authority , which has been struggling in order to keep struggling in order to keep positions and looting the country’s wealth .
