A Lecturer from Faculty of Islamic Sciences / University of Kerbala Publishes a Book on Islamic Realism in Jurji Zaidan’ Novels

A lecturer from Faculty of Islamic Sciences / University of Kerbala, Asst. Prof. Dr. Ahmed Rahi Saadoun Al-Zaidi, has published a book on Islamic realism in Jurji Zaidan’ novels.
In his book, which is printed in Iraq / Basra, on authority of Dickens House for Publishing and Distribution, the author deals with novels of Jurji Zaidan, one of high figures in contemporary Arabic literature, and he is considered a pioneer of Islamic historical novel. He discusses how did he deal with realism in his novels?! Is he fair and impartial in his treatment of Islamic personalities?! Did his Christian religion affect his work?! In this book, more light is shed on aspects of Islamic realism in Jurji Zaidan’ novels and its dimensions.
The book consisted of 196 pages, it is divided into two chapters and seven topics.
It is noteworthy that Al-Zaidi wrote many works in field of modern and comparative literature, and this is in addition to scientific achievements made by Faculty of Islamic Sciences in scientific aspect.
