University of Kerbala
The Faculty of Dentistry at the University of Kerbala has held a course entitled “geriatric dentistry”, with the participation of a number of researchers and specialists.
The course includes an introduction to geriatric dentistry and the classification of elderly patients according to their health status. Dental treatment for the resentful group is difficult from a physiologic, psychological and technical aspects.
It aims at shedding much light on the necessity of diagnosing and finding out appropriate treatment for the elderly according to age changes. The treatment for such group of people must be only palliative.
