University of Kerbala
The Faculty of Veterinary Medicine at the University of Kerbala has organized a training course entitled “Introduction to the H-index factor”, presented by, Dr. Ali Reda Abd, with in the presence of a number of teaching staff.
The course aims at improving the quality of scientific research in addition to knowing to develop its value by researchers. The course also has presented many relevant standards and measures that are hidden by many researchers,
The course deals with an introduction to the Hirsch factor, which measures the productivity and quality of the scientific products of researchers and the number of their citations, which has been invented by Argentine-American professor, Jorge Eduardo Hirsch in 2005, a physicist at the University of California in the United States of America, which has been quickly adopted by most global databases and journals as a prerequisite for academic employment and academic promotion.
