تقدم هذه الدراسة تحليلًا أسلوبيًا نقديًا لكلمات أغانٍ مختارة لأديل. وعلى الرغم من أن أغانـي أديل قد حظيت باهتمامٍ، فإن التحليلات التي تركز على الأيديولوجيا ما تزال محدودة، ولا سيما من منظور الأسلوبية النقدية. وتسعى هذه الدراسة إلى معالجة هذه الفجوة البحثية. وتهدف إلى تحديد الأدوات الأسلوبية النقدية المستخدمة في كلمات أغاني أديل، والكشف عن الأيديولوجيات المهيمنة التي تُبنى من خلال هذه الأدوات، وبيان كيف تسهم الاختيارات اللغوية في تشكيل المعنى الأيديولوجي وتداوله . وتفترض الدراسةُ أن كلماتِ أديل توظّفُ بصورةٍ متكرّرة أدواتٍ أسلوبيةً نقديةً محددة للتعبير عن الأيديولوجيات والتجارب العاطفية الشخصية، وأن بعضَ الأيديولوجيات أكثرُ هيمنةً من غيرها، وأن استخدامَها لهذه الأدوات يرتبطُ ارتباطًا وثيقًا بموقفها الأيديولوجي الشخصي. وباعتماد منهجٍ مختلطٍ نوعيٍّ وكمّيٍّ، يطبق البحث نموذجَ جيفريز (2010) المتعلّقَ بالوظائف النصّية–المفهومية العشر على متنٍ مجموعة، تضم عشرين أغنيةً مختارةً من جميع ألبوماتها.
وتُظهر التحليلاتُ أن إطارَ جيفريز فعّالٌ في دراسةِ النصوص الغنائية، إذ ظهرتْ جميعُ الأدوات العشر، مع غيابِ ثلاثِ فئاتٍ فرعية. كما كشفت التحليلات عن اربع ايديولوجيات محورية، هي: الأصالةُ العاطفية، والتمكينُ الذاتي، والمرونةُ/الصمود، والادراك العاطفي؛ ويتشكّل كلٌّ منها عبر أنماطٍ لغويةٍ مميّزة. كذلك تكشف كلماتُ أديل عن توازنٍ بين الأدوات عاليةِ ومتوسّطةِ ومنخفضةِ التكرار، الأمرُ الذي يجعلُ أغانيها حميمةً وقابلةً للتلقّي على نطاقٍ واسع على السواء. وتقتصرهذه الدراسة على التحليل اللغوي لكلمات عشرين أغنية لأديل اعتمادًا على إطار واحدت من الأسلوبية النقدية، دون التطرق إلى الجوانب الموسيقية أو الأدائية أو البصرية

The present study conducts a critical stylistic analysis of selected Adele’s song lyrics. Although Adele’s songs have attracted attention, ideology-focused analyses remain limited, particularly from a Critical Stylistics perspective. This study seeks to address this gap. This study aims to identify the critical stylistic tools employed in Adele’s lyrics, determine the dominant ideologies constructed through these tools, and demonstrate how linguistic choices contribute to the shaping and distribution of ideological meaning. The study hypothesizes that Adele’s lyrics frequently employ specific critical stylistic devices to express personal ideologies and emotions, that some ideologies are more dominant than others, and that her use of these tools is closely tied to her personal stance. Using a mixed qualitative and quantitative method, the research applies Jeffries’ (2010) model of ten textual-conceptual functions to a corpus of twenty songs drawn from all her albums. The analysis shows that Jeffries’ framework is effective for lyric study, with all ten tools present, though three subcategories were absent. Four core ideologies emerge which are emotional authenticity, self-empowerment, resilience, and relational insight each shaped by distinct linguistic patterns. Adele’s lyrics also reveal a balance of high-, mid-, and low-frequency tools, making her songs both intimate and widely relatable. The study is limited to linguistic analysis of twenty Adele song lyrics using a single critical stylistic framework and does not consider musical, performative, or visual elements.
